Superior Dragon  Trainer advised stewards that she would instruct Jockey G. Geran to take up a position midfield with cover, as the gelding was having its first start for her stable. Was a little slow to begin and then was hampered when METEOR'S MAN shifted out. Near the 900 metres commenced to over-race, and in the middle stages raced ungenerously. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

Joshua's Might  When questioned, L. Tarrant stated that at no stage in the event did his mount travel comfortably and was under pressure from the 800m, however he could offer no explanation for the performance. Rose of Woorim  When questioned regarding the performance, rider L. Tarrant stated it was not his intention to lead, however the filly began well and as such he allowed it to stride forward to cross PEPPA JELLY. He added that the filly then refused to settle despite his efforts which resulted in his mount failing to finish the race off as expected. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from heat stress and had a poor post-race recovery.   Sunshine Coast  5/04/2015

Buckin the Blues  Rider questioned RE: the performance of the gelding and the tactics adopted, in particular settling back in the field and showing little vigour to go forward between the 600m and 400m. Everybody Happy  Inquiry re performance. Rider B. Appo stated that his mount began well but could not muster its customary early speed and as a result settled in a handy position with cover. He added that when pressured by TEARS after passing the 700m, the mare was immediately under pressure and did not respond to his riding from that point and was, in his view, disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery rate.

Jaspers Magic  Inconvenienced leaving the 700m and forced wider on the track and raced wide from that point onwards. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice M. McGillivray indicated that after being interfered with the horse was positioned wider and then failed to respond to his riding when rounding the home turn and into the home straight.
