Without Grief  Raced wide in the early stages. Inquiry re poor performance. Rider G. Goold stated that, in his opinion, the 59 kilogram impost on the gelding was a telling factor in it not being able to finish the race off today. Trainer Mr P. Jenkins agreed with jockey Goold's assessment however advised stewards it was now his intention to give WITHOUT GRIEF a short spell. Vetted and found to have cardiac arrhythmia.
Connections were advised that the horse must undergo an ECG, the results of which must be reported to stewards, and also must perform satisfactorily in an official trial.
