A post race veterinary examination revealed a small amount of blood in its near-side nostril and the horse was stepping short in its near hind leg. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start and the gelding must gallop over 1000m before being permitted to race again.

Rider Allen indicated that in the early stages he was content to allow MADE TO ORDER to cross his mount as he felt he would get a nice trail behind the lead. He added during the middle stages he was of the view that the pace being set by the leader SAMBUCA SHOT was too fast and that the horse would weaken over the final 400m. He added that he was able to pressure his mount into the race after leaving the 600m as he would have liked, however the leader did not quicken as anticipated. He felt RECKLESS ABANDON finished the race off well. |
