Unbowed  Stewards questioned apprentice Fancourt regarding her riding of the gelding in today's event, which was not the horse's established racing pattern. She indicated that her instructions were to ride the gelding in a negative fashion in the early stages and attempt to have it settle back in the field, however her mount raced keenly and she allowed it to improve to the lead. She added that she attempted to restrain her mount however the horse continued to race keenly and she was satisfied that the gelding was travelling well in front. Mishani Honcho  When questioned as to the performance App K. Stanley stated that the gelding was slow to begin. App Stanley added she attempted to improve leaving the 600m but the gelding failed to quicken as expected and was somewhat disappointing. App Stanley was of the view that today's impost of 59 kilos prevented the gelding from finishing off the race as expected. Vetted - no abnormalities.  Gold Coast  4/07/2015

Love Rocks  Rider reported that the horse travelled well in the early and middle stages when leading but after passing the 600m was immediately under pressure and was disappointing in the home straight when it weakened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be sore in the offside knee. Trainer S.
