Dame Demmi  Stewards afforded apprentice B. Derbyshire the opportunity to comment on the horse's performance. She stated that she was instructed to lead on the filly, however the filly failed to show sufficient early speed and as a result settled further back in the field than expected and added that the filly found the line strongly and would be better suited to racing over longer distance.  Gatton  18/09/2015

Picture It  Trainer explained that at its last start it raced a more forward than anticipated and received trouble in running, but in her opinion did not finish the race off on the firm track on that occasion. She added that prior to this when first up this preparation PICTURE IT was successful on soft track conditions similar to today, further adding that since its last start the gelding had worked well and by being allowed to race more patiently in a rearward position, she was of the view the manner in which the race was run and the soft track conditions were attributable to the improved performance.  Sunshine Coast  29/08/2015

Bold Attraction  Rider explained that in the early stages he was caught extremely wide and therefore approaching the first turn he elected to restrain the colt to find a position closer to the rail. He said that not long after, the horse dropped the bit and became detached from the main body of the field. He added that on straightening he was concerned there was something amiss with the colt and for this reason he did not persist in riding it out. He added that not long after the post the horse made an abnormal breathing noise. Trainer reported the horse was found to have slight bruising to its off front heel.  Doomben  11/04/2015 
Classic Element  Overraced in the early stages. A. Taylor was afforded the opportunity to comment on the performance. She stated that the filly did not handle the prevailing track conditions and is also better suited when ridden with cover. Bloomin' Elusive (NZ)  Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. When asked to comment on the horse's performance, R. Fradd said that after rearing at the start he was obliged to ride the horse at the tail of the field and at no stage did the horse travel comfortably despite his urgings and weakened in the home straight. He advised that he was of the view the horse would benefit from a spell. Trainer reported that subsequent to this start the filly had come into season and had been treated a virus and he has been satisfied with the horses work following this treatment.  Sunshine Coast  20/09/2015

Perforation  Stewards questioned apprentice T. Williams as to whether it had been her intention to lead. She indicated that she had been instructed to ride forward, but as her mount did not begin well she attempted to secure a position midfield with cover, however due to the slow pace which was being set, she allowed the horse to stride forward to position outside the lead passing the 700m.  Sunshine Coast  20/09/2015 
Saga of the Storm  Jockey M. Cahill reported his mount never travelled well throughout the event and proved most disappointing. The stable representative advised that the gelding may not have appreciated the firm track conditions.
