Stone in His Shoe (NZ)  Jumped awkwardly, making heavy contact with the barrier partition, losing ground, causing the horse to be positioned in the second half of the field. Held up rounding the home turn and in the straight until approaching the 200m when tightened for room and restrained. Inquiry re performance. Apprentice L. Tarrant stated after beginning awkwardly, the gelding overraced and was reluctant to settle at the rear of the field, which was further back than anticipated. Diddy Win Diddy  Jockey J. Lloyd reported at scale that the gelding was not striding out in the straight. Vet inspection revealed the horse to be lame in both fore legs. Trainer P. Duff was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be produced prior to the gelding racing again.

Flying Sand  Jockey L. Dittman was asked to comment on the reason for him leading in today's event. He indicated he had been instructed to settle just behind the pace if possible, however after the horse began well and after travelling a short distance it became apparent he would not be able to secure a position close to the fence and he allowed the horse to stride forward to the lead. In the Moment (NZ)  Rider reported mare did not begin well which resulted in it settling further back than anticipated. Then hung out throughout the race and was concerned there may be something amiss with the mare's action over concluding stages. Post race vet failed to reveal any abnormalities.  Seymour  19/08/2015 
Lascar  Inquiry re performance. Rider said that at its most recent start the gelding had shown a tendency to overrace, however in today's event he was obliged to pressure the horse to hold its position. He added that rounding the turn the horse laid in and continued to do so until approaching the 300m. He indicated that he was disappointed with the performance and recommended to connections to experiment with blinkers on the gelding and also consider dropping the horse back in distance for its next start.   Sunshine Coast  20/04/2014 
Little Fighter  Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Upon return to scale App T. Brooker reported that it was her intention to take up a forward position today however, after beginning awkwardly the mare failed to muster speed in the early stages resulting in her travelling wide throughout. App Brooker added that despite travelling wide throughout the mare failed to respond when placed under pressure rounding the home turn and proved disappointing. Offensive Play  When questioned as to the horse's performance, M. Cahill stated that the gelding failed to show its customary speed in the early stages and as a consequence he was obliged to pressure the gelding more than he would have liked and in his opinion this had a detrimental effect on its ability to finish the race off.  Sunshine Coast  20/09/2015 
Silent Duke  Apprentice J. Orman reported that the horse travelled comfortably until placed under pressure approaching the 400m and from that point failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing.
