Miri Miri  Stood flatfooted as the start was effected and lost ground. Overreacted when inconvenienced by another runner near the 300m and shifted out, losing significant ground. Held up for clear running and had to be checked near the 150m and went to the line without being tested.

Trainer's Pocket  Hung out rounding the home turn, which allowed MR OPTIMISTIC the eventual winner, to improve to its inside. The filly continued to hang out in the home straight and was unable to be fully tested over the final 200m. Raced 3 wide for the majority of the event. Moment of Silence  When asked to comment on the performance, jockey T. Harrison indicated that the horse, despite having obtained a nice position behind the lead in the early stages, could not maintain this position and lost ground in the middle stages and weakened in the home straight. Trainer Mr M. Mount Perry  Stewards questioned trainer in relation to the horse's improved performance. He advised that first up from a spell on 18 September the gelding raced on a heavy track, which was to its detriment on that occasion and explained the poor performance. He added that the horse jumped out well subsequent to its first-up run and he expected a forward showing today based on that jump out and the fitness benefit the horse would have derived from its first-up start.  Warwick  10/10/2015
