Noted he had ridden horse in work leading into today, on the basis of which both he and connections were hopefull of a better performance. Though horse may benefit from a gelding operation. D'leeajet  Apprentice T. Williams was examined by the doctor and stood down from her engagement. Apprentice S. Eilbeck was substituted as the rider of the horse. Slow to begin. Had difficulty securing clear running passing the 100m to the inside of LAKOUDIS.

Endless Don  Due to the delay with the start, the gelding became fractious in the barriers and reared prior to the start being effected. Slow to begin. When asked to explain the horse's performance R. Wiggins explained that the gelding never travelled comfortably after not beginning well and in his view would be suited to racing over a further distance than that of today's event. PATRIARCH  Slow to begin. Trainer B. Smith reported he anticipated the horse settling in a more forward position and was disappointed with the overall performance. He indicated he would gallop the gelding, before having an endoscopic examination performed and would report the results back to stewards. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Mr Smith advised that the endoscopic examination was clear and the horse subsequently barrier trialed in blinkers and performed well. He indicated that he would add blinkers to the horse's gear as a result.  Sunshine Coast  26/02/2016

Get On  Stewards interviewed trainer T. Thomas regarding the performance. He indicated at the horse's most recent start it had been a long time between runs and he had freshened the horse up in order to start the horse over the distance of 1200m. He added the horse had some difficulty securing clear running at this start and he was not surprised by the forward showing in today's event when stepped up to 1600m.  Sunshine Coast  3/04/2016

Gee Twenty  Raced 3 wide throughout. Inquiry re tactics adopted, in particular in the early stages when jockey Powell appeared to have opportunity to continue forward when wide and take a position closer to the fence. He said he attempted to steady thinking his mount would not be able to persist forward to lead, and would be more likely to position closer to the fence at the tail of the field, however he was caught 3 wide, but with hindsight agreed it may have been a better option to go forward. Stewards advised him whilst they felt he erred, they felt it was not unreasonable in the circumstances.   Sunshine Coast  20/03/2016
