Passion in Flight  Stewards questioned jockey T. Harrison and trainer Mr G. Hineman regarding the tactics adopted on the horse in that the horse raced on the speed in today's race which was in contrast to the horse's established racing pattern. Miss Harrison indicated it had not been her intention to lead, however after beginning well she allowed the horse to stride forward and cross horses to the inside. Trainer Mr G Hineman indicated he had instructed Miss Harrison to ride the horse where comfortable as she knows the horse's racing pattern and was surprised the horse was in a forward position.  Sunshine Coast  8/05/2016

Fast Choice  Underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start of this event and was cleared to race. Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey J. Lloyd indicated as the horse was having its first start and had not shown early speed in its barrier trial, he was instructed to settle his mount where comfortable and after travelling well responded to his riding in the home straight and was doing its best work over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed signs of lameness in the near foreleg. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to next race start.  Sunshine Coast  8/05/2016

slipped back shortly after the start following his breastplate breaking, which
placed him at a slight disadvantage for the remainder of the event.

Thornett (NZ)  Stewards asked jockey P. Hammersley to explain his actions after passing the 900m when he steadied and allowed BEL CLASSICO to take up a position forward of him behind the lead. He indicated he felt the horse was not travelling strong enough to hold a position behind the lead and felt he would be better served steadying and allowing jockey Thomas, rider of BEL CLASSICO, to cross at this stage of the race.   Sunshine Coast  8/05/2016

Sagamama  Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the horse's performance, rider J. Stanley stated that his mount raced greenly in the early and middle stages and rounding the home turn became unbalanced. She's Worthy  Rider reported upon return to scale intention was to settle further forward however, failed to muster the necessary speed early stages despite efforts. You Are Golden (IRE)  Rider B Spriggs stated that when he placed the mare under pressure it immediately shortened stride,he eased his mount down over the final 150 metres. He added that the mare made a respiratory noise as well. A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Connections were advised that a full veterinary clearance would be
required and that You Are Golden must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again
