Caught wide in the early stages, allowed to stride forward by its rider to a position closer to the rails near the 1200m. Had a tendency to race keenly from the 1200m to nearing the 1000m. Apprentice E. Ljung advised that after beginning awkwardly and being caught wide in the early stages, her mount eventually settled near the 1000m and obtained a comfortable run for the remainder of the event, however when placed under pressure failed to respond to her riding and in her opinion proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Questioned as to tactics - rider stated intention to obtain handy position. Early stages tried to restrain to obtain cover in one out one back position however horse outside leader continued to restrain preventing him from obtaining cover behind that runner. Therefore elected to stirde forward to eventually settle outside leader. Trainer stated horse had been notoriously slow to begin and with blinkers off today began better than expected resulting in it racing further forward than anticipated. Best suited when ridden with cover.
