J. Lloyd stated that his mount made an awkward stride near the 600m. He said that approaching the home turn his mount commenced to give ground, and he eased it out of the event as he was concerned something may be amiss. A post race vet examination did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer was advised that a warning would be placed on the performance and that it requires a vet clearance.
