Board Director Held up rounding the home turn. Doomben 24/12/2016
Plan Red Began awkwardly. Jockey R. Fradd explained that his mount, which can be fractious in the stalls, was again today standing awkwardly when the gates were released. He said his intention had been to ride in a forward position however tried to obtain cover but because of the way it began, he was reluctant to ride it forward as the horse can overrace. Jockey Fradd added that after being crossed with the slow tempo, he ended up racing further back in the field than anticipated. Eagle Farm 14/12/2016

Magnatune Had to check off heels approaching the winning post. G. Colless was questioned regarding why he did not improve to the inside of LEVER LEVER after leaving the 100m. He stated that he had committed himself to the outside of that horse’s heels and when it weakened quickly, he then was forced to check off its heels Doomben 24/12/2016
Tony Baloney Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Gold Coast 24/12/2016
Hussonplaza Blundered near the 1100m. Questioned re performance rider stated intention to settle in forward position, consistent with recent starts, however after being slow to begin was obliged to settle worse than midfield. From this position, behind a moderate tempo, he was pleased with the ground it made down the straight on a track typically favouring forward runners. Trainer agreed with riders comments and advised he would step the gelding up in distance next start to give it greater opportunity of establishing a forward position. Total Surprise Bounded in the air on jumping way and then overraced in the early and middle stages. Sunshine Coast 21/12/2016
Ahmah Star Slow to begin. Commenced to race ungenerously near the 1500m and as a result shifted out hampering INGEEGOODBE. Then continued to race erratically when racing wide for the remainder of the event. Raced extremely wide from the 700m. Trainer R. Wrigley was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse's racing manners. Jockey A. Allen was fined $100 under AR. 145 for weighing in in excess of half a kilogram over his allotted weight. Legal Counsel Jockey J. Lloyd explained that once straightening the horse changed stride and, in his opinion, was slightly unbalanced. He said after this he endeavoured to get the horse to change stride, which he did shortly after before being able to fully test his mount. Eagle Farm 14/12/2016
