Approaching the 100m was steadied when buffeted between runners. Jockey W. D'Avila advised he was unable to place his mount under full pressure from this point as his left foot had shifted in his iron.

Apprentice C. Bayliss, rider of LAUDABLE LEMON, was reprimanded for failing to stop riding and straighten his mount.
