Became fractious in the enclosure, reared and slipped. In this incident the breastplate on the gelding was damaged. The gelding underwent a veterinary examination after arriving at the barriers and also had the breastplate and tongue-tie replaced at the barriers. Was tightened for room shortly after the start, clipped heels and blundered, losing significant ground.

Rdr stated mount travelled keenly early stages & down back straight however was under pressore from 800m. Rdr stated mount laid in passing 600m, whilst under full pressure, & weakened over final 200m where it laid in. Racing manager stated only excuse was geld needed cover to settle early and it would be spelled.
