Captain Bookworm Inconvenienced soon after the start when tightened for room between BIDZIL and DEMFRIES. When asked to explain the disappointing performance, apprentice M. Murphy stated that the horse was disappointing when placed under pressure from the 600m and, in his view, had come to the end of its current preparation. Apprentice M. Murphy was admonished for failing to ride his mount out over the final 200m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be suffering from mild heat stress. Trainer L. My Kinda Woman began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. Raced greenly throughout. Trainer D Heinemann explained the mare, which was having its first race start, had trialled well on the grass, however despite being beaten 16 lengths he was not disappointed with the performance today and was of the opinion MY KINDA WOMAN would derive benefit from race experience. Surge Blanco Rider questioned regarding horse's performance. Refer Stewards Report. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than that the horse had an elevated heart rate. Stewards advised Mr Wilson that after further tests failed to reveal any abnormalities, a further jumpout would be required. Competed successfully and won a 1000m jumpout on June 27 at Sunshine Coast. Sunshine Coast 18/06/2017

Red Mahogany Placed in restricted room at the 750m and again at the 700m. When questioned regarding the seemingly disappointing performance, jockey N. Tomizawa advised Stewards that the horse began only reasonably well and failed to muster the early speed that he had anticipated. He added that after receiving some tightening on two occasions near the 700m, the gelding failed to travel from that point and proved very disappointing over the concluding stages. Captain the World Approaching the 900m had to be steadied away from the heels of HEART OF AUSTRALIA and shifted out causing EVERY SINGLE ONE to be checked. Clipped heels and blundered passing the 800m. Gold Coast 17/06/2017

Manias Jumped awkwardly. Doomben 15/04/2017
Mystyko Jumped awkwardly out and made contact with the barrier partition. Following the race jockey A. Coome reported that he had contacted the barrier with his left knee. Held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until near the 200m. Shifted in leaving the 200m and caused ISIS AMBER to be taken in and WORTH THE TIME to be eased. Jockey Coome was reprimanded and advised to use greater effort to prevent his mounts from shifting ground. Rockhampton 10/06/2017

Meet George Jetson When questioned regarding the performance, jockey R. Stewart stated that he had to work hard in the early stages to obtain a position outside the leader and when placed under pressure soon after straightening, the gelding failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. The stable representative advised that they may have veterinary tests carried out on the horse Sunshine Coast 16/04/2017

Sweet Shamrock Slow to begin. A short distance later was hampered when tightened for room between runners. Held up in early stages of the home straight. Vetted - revealed gelding sustained laceration to the near fore cannon. Gold Coast 25/06/2017

Subsolar Began awkwardly and lost ground. Near 1600m commenced to race ungenerously and shifted out abruptly whilst continuing to overrace for some distance thereafter. Approaching 700m steadied from heels of MANDRYKA when overracing. Momentarily held up rounding the home turn. Gold Coast 10/06/2017

I Can't See Who J. Orman reported to stewards that he was disappointed with his mount’s overall performance as the horse had obtained a favourable position outside the lead and did not let down as expected in the home straight. Sunshine Coast 17/03/2017

Minsk G. Goold reported that the mare enjoyed a nice run until about the 700m and when the tempo began to quicken he endeavoured to place his mount under pressure, however it failed to respond, and in the straight, as he was concerned with the manner in which it was weakening, he did not persist in riding it out. He added that the mare made an abnormal breathing noise up the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have an irregular heartbeat. Clear ECG and vet cert recieved.
