Venetian Beauty	Hampered between runners shortly after jumping. Momentarily hampered rounding the home turn when attempting a tight run to the inside of FAVOURED GRACE, which shifted in marginally, and then was held up and unable to improve from the 250m until approaching the 70m where it obtained clear running and finished the race off strongly. Crimson God	Jockey L. Tarrant reported that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer L. Ercolano	On return to scale jockey R. Fradd reported that the horse raced fresh today and overraced a touch in the early stages, and then failed to finish the race off. The stable representative for trainer Mr T. Gollan advised that the gelding would be better suited as it gets further into its preparation over distances further than todays event, and may appreciate a softer track and would improved with todays run.
