Raggle Varr	Rider T. Brooker reported that the horse travelled well in the lead and when rounding the home turn she felt that the horse still had a competitive chance in the finish of the event, however the mare weakened badly from the 200m and was very disappointing over the concluding stages. Hallside Rebel	Stewards questioned jockey R. McMahon regarding the tactics he adopted in that he elected to improve on the fence rather than shift wider at the top of the straight in a attempt to obtain clear running. He indicated that clear running had presented itself to the inside of YALLAROI he elected to remain to the inside, and he was also of the view to remain to the inside as he felt he would continue to be able to improve, which he did so until approaching the 200m when held up behind the weakening MUMFORD.
