From 400m until straightening got head up when racing in restricted room to inside of OSPACEHELLO, which shifted in. Rider comment re improved performance - of view appreciates racing with bit of room and from good barrier was able to position behind leader and in home straight had sufficient room to finish race off. Noted mare has good record at Ipswich and appreciated softer track conditions.

Rider J. Byrne reported that the horse did not travel comfortably throughout the event and indicated that the horse was holding its breath at various stages of the event. He added that he had concerns throughout in relation to the horse’s breathing. He also advised that he recommended to connections to restrict the horse’s races to distances up to 1400m. On post-race veterinary examination the horse was found to have blood in its mouth. Trainer S. Kendrick confirmed that the horse would be sent for a spell.

Rider questioned re performance - stated after unable to obtain cover obliged to race wide throughout and after being inconvenienced by another runner approaching 1000m continued to race wide remainder, which he believed had affect on performance. Vetted - no abnormalities and routine swab sample taken.
