Laudit As it had had not started for 12 months, the horse underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. The horse again was inspected behind the barriers after slipping on the concrete when leaving the enclosure and again was passed fit to start. Sunshine Coast 14/01/2018

Queachy A post race vet exam of the gelding, which raced wide without cover throughout revealed no abs. Wyong 28/01/2018
Ever the Optimus Proved disappointing. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, apprentice A. Sewell stated that the gelding travelled reasonably well in the early and middle stages but when asked for an effort after straightening, failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than that the horse had a slightly slower than normal post-race recovery rate. Rockhampton 08/02/2018

Foxy Miss Got its head up when being restrained in the early stages. Had a tendency to lay in rounding the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight. Passing the 300m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of another runner. Raced wide with cover. Sunshine Coast 02/02/2018

Bergerac Overraced in the early and middle stages. Obliged to steady from heels near the 300m and shifted back to the inside to secure clear running, and then shifted out passing the 200m in an attempt to secure clear running. Raced wide. Sunshine Coast 27/01/2018
Baker Boy Trainer B. Andrew was afforded the opportunity to explain the horse’s improved performance. Mr Andrew advised that at its previous start the horse drew a wide gate and was trapped off the track on that occasion. He added that at its prior start to that the horse had had an interrupted preparation leading into that event and he was of the view that on that occasion the horse did not stretch out on the firm surface. He said that with the engagement of an apprentice for today’s event, with the horse carrying a lighter weight than at its previous runs, and also with the removal of the tongue tie, Ipswich 17/01/2018

Miss Severina Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped WE BUILT THIS CITY. Rider questioned re performance - noted mare having won a maiden at previous start was up in class today. Added passing 600m obliged to ride mare along, at which point it failed to respond as anticipated. Further added approaching 200m obliged to shift out to secure clear running after which the mare finished race off fairly. Given these circumstances rider not overly disappointed with performance.
