Protest Stewards questioned jockey D. Browne regarding the horse’s performance. He indicated that he did not feel the horse travelled comfortably at any stage of the event, indicating he attempted to improve his position in the early stages to the inside of CHASINGWAGTAILS, however the horse did not increase its tempo at this stage and he was obliged to settle at the tail of the field. He added he niggled the horse to hold its position throughout the event and whilst the horse did make up ground in the home straight he felt it was disappointing. He stated the horse would more than likely benefit from Sunshine Coast 29/04/2018

Lots of Promise The start was delayed when the mare lunged at the barriers, opening the front of the gates. Then inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Jumped away awkwardly, making contact with another runner. Sunshine Coast 06/05/2018
Our Momento Steadied from heels in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages and was steadied from heels for some distance near the 700m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running for some distance approaching and rounding the home turn. Toowoomba 02/05/2018
She's a Mitzy Jockey L. Dittman reported at scale his mount laid in significantly from rounding the home turn onwards, placing him at a disadvantage over the concluding stages, causing him to be unable to fully test his mount. Stewards advised trainer C. Hickey that as the horse has previously had a warning for similar manners, it would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next start. Overlap Stewards questioned apprentice H. English regarding the tactics adopted which resulted in her being caught in a 3 wide position outside the lead throughout the event. She indicated she had been instructed to ride forward and near the 1200m was of the view that A SHIN ROCK would shift in behind the leader, IZZAH. A short distance later she became aware A SHIN ROCK was going to remain to the outside of IZZAH and this caused her to be caught 3 wide. She attempted approaching the first turn to then restrain the horse and settled behind A SHIN ROCK, however the horse overraced and she elected Sunshine Coast 29/04/2018

Personalised After beginning moderately and obtaining a trailing position, commenced to overrace in the early stages. S. Galloway explained that he was happy to obtain a position following AMARYLISS in the early and middle stages, however the pace did slacken in the middle stages. He added that approaching the home turn he was slightly held up when he attempted to improve to the outside of AMARYLISS the filly had a tendency to lay in and he was unable to get it into clear running until passing the 150m.
