She added that she failed to test her mount in the home straight as she became concerned with the filly’s action and over the final 200m she eased the horse down. Stewards accepted T. Brooker’s explanation. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant findings.

Rdr stated mount only responded for 200m, was under full pressure on h/turn & weakened to line. Tnr stated geld has history of mixing form, however had worked well leading into event & he was confident. Only explantion he could offer was geld was down 500m in journey & lacked sprint for todays dist. Tnr advised would step up in dist next start. P/R vet exam no ab's. Will get chirpractic tnmt & blood results.
