Eased off the heels of ART ATTACK near the 1200m when racing keenly. When questioned regarding the run, apprentice A. Thompson said with his mount’s big weight, he elected not to go too early, however, in a slowly run race when runners improved after passing the 1000m he was shuffled back in the field and thereafter when placed under pressure making the turn into the straight, CAPITAL GAIN ran on fairly. Rider questioned as to why he did not attempt to follow ART ATTACK passing the 1000m and getting towards the 800m. Refer to Stewards Report.
