Motorised	Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and as to why he raced in a wide position throughout in a small field, jockey J. Stanley stated that he had no specific instructions and that after beginning on terms with the field he was of the view that the early tempo was only moderate and therefore attempted to improve into a forward position, however was unable to muster sufficient speed to do so. Doubos	Stewards questioned rider D. Evans regarding his riding in the early stages of the home straight when I CAN I WILL I AM was able to shift out around the leaderrs heels and obtain clear running to his inside. Jockey Evans explained that rounding the home turn his mount was under pressure and he was unable to race in a tight position outside the leader as he would have liked. He added that when MONO LAD shifted in slightly, I CAN I WILL I AM was able to shift out when travelling strongly to secure clear running. Mia Host	Was unable to obtain clear running from the 150 metres between BOYS FROM THE BUSH and GUTZ CI and shifted out abruptly, causingg IMPERIAL ATTITUDE to be steadied away from its heels..
