A post-race veterinary examination of the mare, which hung out from the 600 metres, placed its rider at a significant disadvantage, and was ultimately restrained out of the race, did not reveal any abnormalities. Destruction  Reluctant to load. Was slowly away after jumping awkwardly with its head in the air. Trainer was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding's barrier manners which would be monitored at future starts.

Guepardo  When questioned regarding the gelding's poor performance, apprentice explained that the gelding travelled well in a prominent position, however shortly after straightening weakened and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer since reported that results of blood tests and an endoscopic exam did not reveal any abnormalities and that in his opinion the gelding had pulled well.  Townsville  19/09/2015

Beaudragon  Slow to begin. Rider lost whip near the 150 metres. Stewards inquired into Jockey's riding over the concluding stages. Rider stated the gelding had been under pressure from the 150 metres and he had ridden the horse out. Stewards established Jockey had not ridden with his usual vigour however this action had not cost second placing. In the circumstances, Jockey was reprimanded. (AR 137(b))  Birdsville  5/09/2015 
Break the Drought  Jockey explained that his mount raced ungenerously throughout, made the first turn, near the 1000 metres, awkwardly, then a short distance later shifted in abruptly and became awkward on the heels of another runner and had to be checked. Elovachill  Hampered passing the winning post on the first occasion. When questioned regarding racing at the rear of the field, Jockey said that he was instructed to obtain cover as the gelding has a tendency to over-race. He stated that from his wide barrier draw he elected to take hold of his mount in an attempt to comply with those instructions, however when racing in a rearward position the gelding was still inclined to over-race in the early stages.  Mackay  17/09/2015
