Stewards advised Jockey that in their opinion he had erred in not attempting to pull the whip through to his left hand in an effort to encourage the mare to race truly. Jockey was also reprimanded for raising his whip above shoulder height.

She added that in her opinion the gelding performs best when able to dictate terms in front. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be dehydrated. Trainer undertook to report back to the stewards in the days subsequent.
