When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Jockey could offer no explanation and said that the gelding travelled comfortably in a prominent position throughout the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure in the early part of the home straight weakened noticeably and was disappointing. As the gelding had left the course prior to the prescribed time, trainer will be told that before it would be permitted to race again she must furnish a full veterinary certificate of fitness. |
