Trainer advised stewards that he intended to advise connections that the gelding should be spelled immediately. Trainer was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of stewards in a barrier trial over at least 800 metres in race day conditions before being permitted to race again. |

COT: To be ridden back; settled back. Stewards considered an objection lodged by second placegetter against mare alleging interference over final 100m. On the evidence stewards found that passing the 200m mare improved from a position behind second placegetter and at 100m improved past that runner and shifted into the running of second placegetter however the interference was deemed negligible. Given the minor nature of the interference and the margin of 1 ¾ lengths stewards deemed the protest to be frivolous. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed and the judge's placings ordered to stand. |
