When questioned into her riding of the gelding, particularly near the 400 metres when she relinquished the lead, rider explained that insructions were not to pressure the horse too early to allow it to finish the race off. These instructions were confirmed by Trainer.

Raced wide rounding the home turn. Stewards spoke with Jockey regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding. He advised that in his opinion the gelding was slightly disappointing and that the lack of pace in the race, and the fact that the gelding was having its second start after a spell, over 1560 mad also played a part in today’s performance.
