Royal Standing When questnd rgrding its performnce today, rdr A. Holt statd the gelding nvr travlld comfortbly throughout the race n being mindful of the lead UNION JUKEBOX establishd in the early n mddle stages began to niggle his mount forwrd from the 1000m bfore commencing to ride it along from the 600m, howevr it failed to rspond to his riding and was disappointing. Trainr Mr A. Molino was of the opinion the way the race was run was not suitabl to the gelding today n will monitr the horses progrss going forward. Craiglea Swift Slow to begin. Rider advised Stewards that the mare was field shy and raced wide as result. Raced very wide rounding the home turn. Mount Isa 02/12/2017
Snake Farley Stewards questioned trainer M. Jokic in regards to the tactics adopted today when the horse led. Mr Jokic explained to stewards that his instructions have always been for the mare to race in a forward position, however circumstances had not permitted that to happen. Whilst stewards noted his explanation, he was nevertheless reminded of his obligations to advise stewards should the racing pattern of the mare change in future. Townsville 07/12/2017

Beg Pardon Bled from both nostrils during the event. Trainer was told that, as this was the first time the gelding had bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward will it be permitted to race again. Spread the News Raced greenly near the 200m and had to be restrained. Raced 3 wide with no cover for the majority if the race. Townsville 24/11/2017
Bright Angel Hampered by another runner, which shifted in at the start, and lost ground. Had a tendency to hang out in the early and middle stages. Townsville 24/11/2017
Irish Touch Rounding the turn near the 800 metres took charge of its rider, ran to the outside rail and was restrained out of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly was shin sore. Trainer said that the gelding would now be spelled. Nevertheless, he was advised that prior to racing again the filly will have to perform satisfactorily in a trial. Townsville 19/05/2016

My Boy Tickets Began awkwardly and shifted in, bumping another runner. Over-raced in the early stages. Stewards inquired into the reason for MY BOY TICKETS appearing to clip heels and blunder, dislodging its rider, apprentice jockey Q. Krogh approaching the 400m. Apprentice Krogh was transported to Townsville Base Hospital for further observation. Upon his return to the racecourse and viewing the race film, Stewards agreed with Q. Krogh that his mount had improved onto the heels of HATZ SON near the 400m clipping that runners heels, blundering causing him to be dislodged. Townsville 07/12/2017

Rapt in Rumba Stewards questioned trainer R. Nelson in regards to the horse’s performance. Mr Nelson stated the gelding may not have appreciated todays distance and is better suited to shorter trips. Stewards noted his explanation but nevertheless advised Mr Nelson a warning would be placed on the horse being uncompetitive. Townsville 07/12/2017

I'll Take the Jag Hampered at the start and shifted out away from heels near the 600m. Rider reported that his mount hung in under pressure over the final 200m and as a result he was unable to ride the gelding out in his normal manner. Townsville 16/11/2017
