Cudyado Jockey A Butler advised that the gelding raced extremely disappointingly and failed run on. A post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities and Trainer G.Holt advised she would be experimenting with gear changes. Townsville 05/05/2023

Making the home turn was held up and unable to improve. After obtaining clear running at the 150 metres Prince Akeem then shifted out under pressure resulting in Test of War being steadied sharply after passing the winning post. Jockey L Morrison (Prince Akeem) was advised to exercise care in similar situations and stop riding and straighten her mounts. Townsville 06/04/2023

Sealion Blundered badly on jumping, shifted in & made contact with another rnr. Rdr reported the geldings action was satisfactory through early & mid stages, however, when placed under pressure mnt did not respond to riding & weakened in straight. Std although mnt appeared to pull up satisfactorily, he was of view the incident at start where mnt blundered badly, had impacted on his performance. A post race vet exam rev no significant abs. Co-tnr reported that he was satisifed with the post race condition of the gelding, advised it would now be spelled. Warwick Farm 26/01/2023

Cast all four plates in running. Trainer A.Molino was questioned regarding this matter and could not offer an explanation. He advised that the gelding had recently been shod by a professional farrier and that Just A Love Song did not suffer from any hoof conditions. Stewards inspected the cast plates and confirmed that they were in new condition. Trainer A Molino was advised to take any necessary action to avoid a repetition. Townsville 05/05/2023

Lucky Jim Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the hind quarters of Average Jane. Jockey J. Taylor was questioned regarding the disappointing performance and advised that he is of the opinion the colt did not appreciate the softer racing surface today. He also advised that the saddle had shifted back marginally in running. Lucky Jim underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities. Townsville 09/03/2023
