CAMPANOLOGY subsequently weakened in the straight finishing well back. Lonhtime  Shortly after the start was placed in restricted room and eased when runners either side shifted ground. Apprentice J. Oliver could offer no explanation for the horse's performance. Trainer B. Currie also expressed disappointment with the performance, which he could only attribute to the horse failing to back up after racing on a heavy track at its most recent start and undertook to advise Stewards in the days subsequent to the event if anything comes to light which may have affected the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was taken.  Toowoomba  18/06/2016

Lady Mercury  Connections advised that from the wide barrier the horse would be ridden off the speed if possible. Raced 3 wide for the majority of the event. When questioned regarding the horse's poor performance, rider advised that the horse raced somewhat flat today, however was forced to race wide throughout the event. She added that in her opinion the horse may have come to the end of its preparation. Trainer reported that in light of the poor performance, the horse would be spelled immediately. Al Almighty  Stewards acceded to a request by trainer J. Dorrington to add extra packing under the saddle as the horse has a high wither. As a result, apprentice L. Tilley was unable to claim down to his allotted riding weight. In the circumstances, Stewards took no action. Began awkwardly, threw its head in the air and then shortly after the start was steadied to avoid the heels of another runner. Laid in rounding the home turn.  Toowoomba  18/06/2016

Katzenpfoetchen  After being keen whilst proceeding to the barriers, the horse underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the horse's performance, L. Tarrant stated that in his opinion the combination of the horse being a little fresh, having last raced on 20 September, and the prevailing track conditions may have contributed to the horse's disappointing performance today.  Ipswich  2/12/2015

Ruby Ray  On returning to scale S. Bogenhuber reported that her mount began well and obtained a leading position, however passing the 1000m she was content to allow DRUNK ON A PLANE to cross her to give her cover for the remainder of the event. Jockey Bogenhuber added that when placed under pressure from the 700m the filly failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. Jockey Bogenhuber added that in her opinion the filly raced somewhat flat today, which she attributed to the horse being second up from a spell.  Toowoomba  18/06/2016
