Near the 500m had to be steadied away from the heels of ROSADOR, which shifted out when not fully clear. Apprentice E. Ljung, the rider of ROSADOR, was reprimanded. Held up on entering the home straight and then was tightened for room between AIR FORCE ONE, which was laying in when weakening, and IT'S ALL IRISH, which shifted out when not fully clear. Jockey M. Hellyer, the rider of IT'S ALL IRISH, was issued with a reprimand. In determining this penalty, stewards were mindful of contributing factors.

On return to scale jockey S. Bogenhuber could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the mare. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities other than the mare was found to be in season, which may have had a bearing on its performance.

Ljung stated that her instructions from the wide gate today were to be positive out of the barriers and take up a forward position, which was in contrast to the horse's most recent racing pattern.
