Raced ungenerously in the early stages and near the 1600m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of another runner. Finished tailed off. Vetted and found to have a poor post-race recovery. Trainer said the horse has a history of making an abnormal respiratory sound. Stewards advised trainer that she would be required to obtain a veterinary clearance for the horse, including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to next racing, and the horse will be required to trial to stewards' satisfaction. Trainer advised that the horse will be sent for an immediate spell.

Stewards questioned S. Bogenhuber regarding the horse settling further back in the field than the horse’s established racing pattern. Jockey Bogenhuber advised that her instructions were to ride the horse with cover from the wide barrier tonight if possible. She added that for this reason she did not urge the horse vigorously out of the barriers and as a result of the quick early speed shown by other runners, this resulted in her settling further back in the field than anticipated. Stewards noted the explanation.
