Novarupta When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer C. Rogers stated that the mare was more suited to the longer distance of todayys event, compared to its most recent start and further, in her opinion a change of rider from an apprentice to a senior contributed to todays improved performance. True Joy Upon returning to scale Jockey G. Geran reported that his mount failed to muster early speed and resented kick back throughout the early and middle stages. He added that when able to shift wider in the home straight the mare ran on strongly. Surat 16/09/2017

Wake Up Jeff After racing wide in early stages allowed to stride forward passing the 1000m to obtain the lead. Hung out rounding the home turn. Ipswich 24/05/2017
Sanjay Hampered at the start. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 800m. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainers representative R. Macrae advised that the horsees most recent start at Cunnamulla was disappointing as it had worked well in preparation for the event. Mr Macrae added that following that event, the trainer applied Earmuffs and a Tongue-tie to the horsees gear, which he felt, was the major contributing factor to todays improved performance. Courtzig Near the 900m when restrained got its head up and had to be eased of the heels of another runner. App. Z White reported that she was concerned with its action of over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed that the mare had received a laceration on the off hind pastern consistent with being galloped on. Rockhampton 06/05/2017
