Publishing Power Raced wide without cover. The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding had sustained a laceration to the near hind tendon. Doomben 09/09/2017
Mr Marbellouz After being slow to begin, attempted to obtain a forward position closer to the rail but was unable to do so and was forced to race three wide without cover for the entirety of the event. When questioned regarding the horses performance, trainer K. Kemp, after viewing the video, agreed that the gelding had a hard run being caught wide without cover, noting that it was up in class for todays event and after also noting that it may have come to the end of its campaign stated that he was not overly disappointed with todays effort. Blackridge Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be lame in the near fore leg. Lucky Jai Jai Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Gold Coast 05/08/2017
Lucky Jai Jai Declared a late scratching at 2.44 pm after rearing up in the barriers, dislodging jockey L. Rolls. Jockey Rolls was examined by the ambulance officers and was stood down from his engagement on the horse. Subsequent to the event, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable. Ipswich 18/08/2017

Rideonabigjetplane Began awkwardly. Passing the 1000m when the pace slackened, commenced to over-race, got its head up and had to be shifted wider to avoid the heels of LADY NO MORE. Continued to over-race until the 600m. Gold Coast 25/11/2017
Boiling Trainer D. Murray was fined $200 for failing to declare a rider for the horse by the prescribed time. Ipswich 06/12/2017

Almazan Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 300m bumped by COMPLICIT and became unbalanced for a short distance. Gold Coast 12/08/2017
Humdrum A post-race veterinary examination of the filly, which tailed off during the event, revealed the horse to be suffering from cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer S. Kirkwood was advised that prior to racing again the filly will be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards, and subsequently produce a veterinary certificate for the filly, including the results of an ECG. Bold Temptation Trainer R Hay was questioned in relation to the disappointing performance. Mr Hay advised that last start the gelding stepped up sharply in distance to 1850m, which was to its advantage as the horse is very one paced. He added that whilst this race was over 1640m, the gelding was unable to sprint with the other runners from the 500m and was left flat-footed. Mr Hay went onto say that he will endeavour to place the gelding in a race over approximately 2000m, race programming permitting, at its next start where he expects a more forward showing.
