She said she was unable to lead, so she elected to sit to the outside of WONFORWAZZA, until the 700m where she was asked to improve. She added the gelding responded when under pressure until weakening passing the 200m. Trainer P. Butterworth confirmed the instructions, however expected the gelding to have a soft lead. He expressed disappointment with the ride and believed app Lang should have attempted to take a sit off WONFORWAZZA in the middle stages.
