Brown reported that at no stage throughout the event did the gelding travel comfortably and he was forced to place pressure on his mount at various times during the early and middle stages to hold its position, however the gelding offered very little when placed under pressure in the home straight and weakened over the final 200m. Eliazar  Blundered at start. Forced wider leaving the 800m. Steadied nearing the 500 to avoid heels. Inquiry re poor performance. Rider advised after beginning well she rode along to obtain a forward position, but passing the 800m was forced wide, resulting in her racing 3 wide for the remainder of the event. She added passing the 500m, her mount resented being restrained when inconvenienced and then failed to travel for the remainder of the event and proved disappointing.
