A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer R. Heavenly Glass  Rider questioned regarding her riding of HEAVENLY GLASS in the first 150 metres and also her reasons for shifting out abruptly and moving wider on the track leaving the 500 metres. App Philpot stated HEAVENLY GLASS began awkwardly and as a consequence lost contact with the main body of the field. She added leaving the 500 metre the mare improved into the race strongly and rather than being caught on heels of runners forward of her she elected to shift to the outside and wider on the track. she was advised to show greater urgency in obtaining a position in the early stages of a race.

Crockett's Mistake  Overraced in the early stages before racing four wide without cover. Apprentice R. Williams was reprimanded for shifting in after passing the 800m, tightening runners to her inside. Stewards advised apprentice Williams that despite having been instructed to obtain cover, she would have been better served allowing the horse to stride forward after passing the 1000m when the horse was overracing badly.  Sunshine Coast  29/03/2015

Williams reported that after racing ungenerously in the early stages, she elected to shift wider and when placed under pressure the gelding did not respond to her riding. Apprentice Williams also reported that the gelding's breathing seemed laboured in the later stages of the event.
