He added that during the middle stages of the event his mount was inclined to hang out and when pressured near the 400m the gelding did not quicken as expected, resenting the kick back and proved disappointing over the concluding stages of the event. |

Schrapel advised that after being slow to begin, in his opinion the horse failed to handle the track conditions tonight and also did have a tendency to lay in throughout the event, which was to its detriment. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. |

Mackay advised that at its last start, after being caught wide, the horse was ridden back in the field, which was to its detriment. He added that the horse is better suited when ridden on the pace, and on its home track under rain-affected conditions today he expected a forward showing from the mare. |

English stated that the gelding began with the field, however shortly after the start her mount was reluctant to stride out on today's dirt track. She added that it was the gelding's first start on a dirt track, and during the middle stages the gelding got its head up as a result of the kick back and was then reluctant to stride out for the remainder of the event. Post-race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. |
