Cold As Ice  Checked near the 300m when tightened for room after SABA LASS shifted out after being awkwardly placed at the heels of HAPPY MEDIUM, which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Dr Quincy  Raced wide and hung off the track rounding the home turn. Trainer P. Sexton was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards before being permitted to race again. . Mt Sturt  Broke through the barriers prior to the start being effected and galloped a short distance before being restrained. Examined by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Tightened for room at the start.

Beyond the Storm (NZ)  Raced ungenerously with its head in the air from approaching the 900m until leaving the 800m.   Gatton  29/10/2015 
Starwood  Made heavy contact with the running rail near the 800m, became unbalanced and lost ground. When questioned as to the horse's disappointing performance, apprentice T. Williams advised that after making heavy contact with the rail near the 800m and again near the 600m, the gelding never travelled strongly from that point and failed to run on in the home straight, proving disappointing. Deputy Peck  Commenced to overrace after being crossed near the 900m and raced ungenerously for some distance, and after passing the 800m was forced to shift out to a 3-wide position where the horse raced for the remainder of the race. True Prince  Questioned re: disappointing performance, App. Eilbeck stated gelding travelled comfortably in early and middle stages. Leaving 500m shifted out to improve at which point gelding failed to respond and proved very disappointing. At a loss to explain disappointing performance after it had impressed her at its last start when 2nd first up from a spell. Trainer expressed dissapointment in performance and reported it had pulled up well following the event. Thought slow early tempo and sprint home did not suit gelding's style of racing.
