Trainer John Zielke has labelled as “insulting” Royal Tithe’s price for her comeback at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
Royal Tithe is rated a $21 chance in UBET fixed markets for the QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap (1200m).
“I can’t understand why she’s such a big price as she’s won a Group 3 first-up,” Zielke said.
“I don’t know why she’s $21 even $11 would be insulting.
“They’re rating just about everything else better than her yet some of her opposition haven’t done anywhere near what she’s achieved.
“She was last season’s top two-year-old and was the top QTIS two-year-old of the year.”
Royal Tithe has won four of her 14 starts including the Group 3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic at the Gold Coast last May.
Her first-up record reads one win and a second from two starts.
The daughter of Show A Heart hasn’t race since earning a trip to Melbourne when she failed in the Group 2 Tranquil Star Guineas Prelude at Caulfield in November.
Zielke has Royal Tithe forward enough to rate her a winning chance.
“She’s had a few jump outs and in her last one she found the line really strongly,” he said.
“She’s very forward and she’s well in herself.
“I was very confident when she won the Group 3 first-up and I’m expecting a good forward showing again with her good alley.”
Zielke is unsure of Royal Tithe’s winter program and will wait and see how she progresses after her return.
“She’ll definitely step up in distance as she’s a miler and will target some of the Stakes races during the winter in Brisbane,” he said.
Meanwhile Royal Title’s half-sister Royal Myth will wear winkers for the first time in the QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap (1000m).
Zielke rates Royal Myth purely a speedster and she showed that with a runaway win in a Toowoomba jump-out recently.
Royal Myth has placed in all three starts but Zielke believes she was most unlucky to lose a race on protest to unbeaten Paradis Imperial at Rockhampton at her last appearance in November.
“I’m really happy with her and she appears to have improved,” he said.
