Race 1

Beraht (3)
broke his maiden in good style last start at the Gold Coast. He flew out of the barriers and was never headed, winning easily by 2 lengths. Damian Browne should be able to race in a prominent position from the good draw. Amanaat (1) is having his first start for Ben Currie after previously racing for the Hayes and Dabernig stable in Victoria. He won a trial in good style leading into this. Come By Chance (2) may need the run first up but is a winner at the track.

Race 2

Simply So (1)
was a dominant winner on debut over this course and distance. After settling towards the back, she got to the outside and stormed home for an easy win. Stephanie Lacy’s claim helps and she should be charging to the line. Vol Vallee (5) has shown improvement her past two starts. She can race in a prominent position from the good draw. Thumbs Up (2) resumes here. Last preparation he broke his maiden in fine style with a 4.3 length win.

Race 3

Dazzle Us Again (1)
should be ready to peak third up. Last start when finishing fourth over 1400m at the Gold Coast he was doing his best work late. He has a great record over this course and distance. Senseofwonder (2) resumed in good style with a close second here over 1400m. The extra distance suits. Karaka Lass (4) resumed in stronger company and ran on fairly. She will be fitter second up.

Race 4

Page One (6)
resumes on the back of a good trial win. At his only previous run, he found the line well at Eagle Farm to finish a close fourth. Zofonic Dancer (15) is on debut here following two fair trials. He’s drawn to get a nice run and blinkers signal intent. Lonhro Magic (4) has been around the mark in two recent races here.

Race 5

Marseille En Fleur (5)
is a classy filly resuming. The start prior to her break, she fought on well to just miss the win in Listed company. She will carry just 51.5kg after Adam Sewell’s claim. Shelter Lady (3) finished second when resuming here.  She has a great record over the course and distance.

Race 6

Nudgee (5)
has gone forward his past two starts but has been run down late. In the small field he may prove hard to catch. Ruby Ray (4) has run on strongly her past two starts at Rockhampton.

Race 7

Siliqua (1) will appreciate the drop in class after competing well in stronger races. He will be finding the line strongly for Damian Browne. Sandrelli (4) resumes here for Ben Currie after previously racing for Phillip Stokes in South Australia. She has a good fresh record and can be expected to put in a bold showing first up. She has competed well in stronger races in the past. Vintage Beauty (5) went forward last start over this course and distance but was run down late. She could give some cheek in front and prove hard to run down.
