RACE 1: NUFARM QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 850M
Blazon Tales - Slow to begin.
Suson- Steadied away from Hidden Angel which shifted in near the 500m,
Fraha - Raced wide throughout.
Master Denrho - Raced wide throughout.
Bar Baby - Jockey N Evans reported at scales it wanted to hang out throughout the event. A post-race veterinary inspection could find no apparent abnormalities.
 
RACE 2: INTEGRATED PACKAGING GROUP Maiden Plate 1090m
Strawberry Runner - Lashed out badly in the barriers and acting on veterinary advice was declared a late scratching at 2.08pm. Betting Deductions were 9 cents on the win value of the ticket and 12 cents on the place value of the ticket. Trainer R West was advised that Strawberry Runner would now require a barrier certificate prior to its next start. A post-race veterinary examination of Strawberry Runner determined that it had suffered superficial wounds to both hocks and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to its next start.
Daunting Queen - Slow to begin. A Spinks reported that it raced very greenly and wanted to shift out rounding the final turn.
Shada Paree - Raced wide throughout.
Life Be In It- Jockey J Hodge reported that he dropped his whip approaching the 500m.
 
 
RACE 3: VISY LIGHTING OPEN Handicap 1090m
James Is Blonde - Slow to begin and then tightened shortly after. James Is Blonde then raced wide throughout. Trainer B Murray was advised that due to James Is Blonde proving difficult to load and delaying the start that a warning would be issued regarding its barrier manners.
Jebs Boy - Raced wide throughout
Wildebeast - Jockey A Spinks reported at scales that it resented the kick back, which may have affected its performance.
 
RACE 4: INCITEC PIVOT FERTILISERS/NEXTPAYMENTS ATMS HANDICAP 1212M
Environmental - Raced wide throughout.
Come By Often - Raced wide throughout. Jockey J Hodge was charged and pleaded guilty pursuant to AR137 A (5) (A) (ii) for using the whip 8 times prior to the 100m. Stewards after considering the riding record of J Hodge issued a $100 fine.
Amuleto - Cast an off hind plate, which may have placed it at a disadvantage.
 
RACE 5: HAIFA BUNDABERG GOLD CUP Handicap 1600m
Cold Blooded - Slow to begin.
First Regret - Slow to begin and ran wide approaching the final turn.
Fasta Than Light - Began awkwardly which momentarily unbalanced jockey H English.
Heroism - Jockey N Evans was reprimanded under rule AR137 A (5)(A)(ii) for using his whip 8 times prior to the 100m. Stewards when considering penalty noted the good record of N Evans in this regard.
