DRUMADOIR which refused to load was declared a late scratching by order of stewards at 1.56 p.m.. All monies invested on DRUMADOIR were ordered to be refunded.. Deductions applicable to bets placed on the winner and placegetters prior to 1.56 p.m.:-

KINGAROY Slow into stride and was then reluctant to stretch out in the early stages.
SNOWY RIVER RAPID Slow to begin.. Inconvenienced and crowded on straightening.
PRINCELY SUM Hampered at the start.
VICTORY IS MINE Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of heat stress.
GUN BOLT Raced 3 wide throughout.
EXORBITANCE Raced 3 wide throughout.
CORNFORTH - A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing signs of heat stress.
CAPTAIN CRUMPET Badly crowded and checked on straightening.. Jockey M. McGillivray the rider of DIRTY RASCAL pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that he permitted his mount to shift out on straightening resulting in it taking SNOWY RIVER RAPID out onto CAPTAIN CRUMPET, which was severely crowded and checked. Jockey McGillivrays licence to ride in races was suspended for aa period of twelve (12) days to commence midnight 14 October 2017 and expire midnight 26 October 2017.
DIRTY RASCAL A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled from one nostril during the event.. Trainer L. Birchley was advised the gelding must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing again.
Race 5: Sky Thoroughbred Central Fillies & Mares Class 3 Handicap 1200m
ISLA TRISTANA Checked when crowded at the start.. Held up from the 500m until straightening.
OVERGROWN Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
Race 6: Ray White Ipswich Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 3 Handicap 1200m
SUGAR RAY RED Slow into stride.. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from the thumps.
COLLINS CREEK Began awkwardly.
DAZET Crowded and checked severely near the 900m resulting in its rider losing his left stirrup.. App B. Stower the rider of SPIRAL pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift in near the 900m when insufficiently clear of COLLINS CREEK, resulting in that horse being taken in onto SUGAR RAY RED, which in turn crowded the running of DAZET, which struck the rail and had to be steadied.. App Stowers licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of twelve (12) days to commence midnight 17 October 2017 and expire midnight 29 October 2017.
SPIRAL After passing the 700m shifted to a 3 wide position and remained there for the remainder of the event.
CHARLIES DUST Shifted 4 wide passing the 700m.
Race 7: The Qld Times Ratings Band 0-65 Handicap 1690m
App M. Murphy (VEGAS RULER) was fined $200 for failing to claim his full allowance.
KNOCKOURA Overraced in the early stages.. Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
MONTRER DAME Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.. Crowded badly on straightening.. Jockey G. Colless the rider of LEDOYEN pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that he allowed his mount to shift out on straightening when insufficiently clear of MONTRER DAME, resulting in that horse being badly crowded.. Jockey Colless licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of ten (10) days to commence midnight 14 October 2017 and expire midnight 24 October 2017..
