Race 1: BARCAM ELECTRICAL CLASS 6 PLATE – 1560M
 
COOL DAYS – Began awkwardly, shifted in and was steadied from heels.
 
PRINCE DAN – Over-raced in the middle stages. Shifted wider leaving the 700m to improve.
When asked to explain the performance of the gelding which raced below market expectations rider A. Butler stated that in his opinion PRINCE DAN was not suited by the moderate pace of the race in the early and middle stages which resulted in the gelding over-racing and that it did not have run out a solid 1560m. Trainer R. Vale agreed with the rider’s opinion however was disappointed with the horse’s performance. Explanations were noted. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. 
 
SAN RAYMOND – Forced wider leaving the 700m by another runner and raced 3 wide for the remainder of the race.
 
Race 2: CHANNEL 7 QTIS 2YO H’CAP – 1050M
 
CRIMSON STAR – Reluctant to proceed to barriers. Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping another runner, Trainer S. Rundle was advised a warning would be placed on the filly’s parading manners.
 
RHYTHM STAR – Bumped by another runner at the start.
 
ALLROUND GLORY – Raced ungenerously and laid out in the early and middle stages. 
 
Race 3: PAYNE PRINT OPEN H'CAP – 1050M
 
 MAN OF DESTINY – Slow to begin.
 
Race 4: 4MK MAIDEN H'CAP – 1050M
 
CATHEDERAL CITY – Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly losing ground.
 
STORMY ZUMA – Began awkwardly.
 
FLICKA ROCKET – Blundered at the start. Raced 3 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
ANOTHER LISTING – Steadied to avoid heels near the 800m and again near the 600m.
 
TIBYAAN – Hung out rounding the home turn and was steadied.
 
CRUISENBY – Raced ungenerously for the majority of race and laid out rounding home turn.  
 
Race 5: WHITSON & DAWSON BENCHMARK 60 H'CAP – 1560M
 
CALL ME RINGO – Slow to begin.
 
SAID WRITTEN – Slow to begin. Bumped with another runner near the 200m. Lost off hind plate during the race.
 
FABULOUS CHILD – Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping another runner.
 
PROFESSOR ROY – Slow into stride after being bumped by another runner.
 
MYSTIC HARMONY – Bumped by another runner near the 200m.  
 
 
Race 6: MTC 100 CLUB BENCHMARK 55 H'CAP – 1050M
 
Trainer W. Pomfrett was fined the sum of $100 in that he failed to declare a rider for FLYING SAND by the required time.
 
TIME TO SPARE – Raced 4 wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
SEEYAWHENISEEYA – Raced 5 wide without cover for the majority of the race. Commenced to race ungenerously leaving the 700m and lost ground from that point. A post- race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
YOU CAN’T FIND ME – When asked to explain the below market expectation performance of the mare rider N. Day and trainer O. Cairns were at loss for an explanation other than that the mare was first up from a lengthy spell and may have been in need of the run, Ms Cairns further undertook to advise stewards should anything come to her attention in the near future that may have had a bearing on today’s performance. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.      
 
Race 7: UBET CLASS 2 H'CAP – 1300M
 
INSOLVENT – Declared a late scratching at 4.19pm on veterinary advice after being fractious in the horse tie up stalls.  
 
MISS ROMANOVA – Rider J. Taylor reported the mare had a tendency to hang in for the majority of the race. Trainer T. Bannon was advised a warning would be placed the mares racing manners.
 
ZATOCHIO – Made the home-turn awkwardly.
