LIVERPOOL JANE - Hung out rounding the home turn and lost ground.
BAIO Laid in under pressure near the 100m.
DR QUINCY Trainer P Sexton reported that the gelding was galloped on, on the near fore leg. Checked near the 400m. J King, the rider of BULLETPROOF MONK, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR 137(a) in that near the 500m he allowed his mount to improve to the inside of BAIO causing tightening to DR QUINCY, which resulted in the rider of that gelding having to check his mount. Jockey King was suspended from riding in races for a period of 8 days commencing midnight 16/9/17 up to and including midnight 24/9/17.

Race 2: EVOLUTION HAIR STUDIO CLASS B HHCAP 1000M
LOCKOUT Rider C Small made application prior to correct weight to request that his mount be declared a non-runner. After viewing the patrol footage stewards were satisfied that LOCKOUT had been denied a fair start in that the horses barrier had been slow to open. Stewards therefore declared LOCKOUT to be a non-runner and ordered that all monies invested on that gelding be refunded and the following deductions to be applied: All win bets less $0.09 in the dollar and all place bets less $0.10 in the dollar.

Race 3: STAR MOTEL NANANGO MAIDEN HHCAP 1200M
OAKFIELD SUNSET Slow to begin.
LITTLE MISS MONACO Stood flatfooted and lost significant ground. Trainer G Hay was advised that a further barrier certificate would be required prior to next start.
KISS ME GOODNIGHT Raced wide throughout.
Race 4: HERITAGE NANANGO BENCHMARK 55 HHCAP 1200M
BEACH HEAD Wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
Race 5: STAR TYRE POWER KINGAROY BENCHMARK 55 HHCAP 1600M
ASCOT BOUND Broke through the barriers and galloped a lap of the course rider less. Declared a late scratching at 4:14pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on ASCOT BOUND be refunded and deductions to be applied as follows: All win bets less $0.06 in the dollarr and all place bets less $0.08 in the dollar, SPPs were not subject to deductions. Trainer K Wenck was advised that a further barrier certificate would be required prior to next start.
LANDED
Rider reported that the gelding lost ground during the early stages when reluctant to stretch out due to the dust kickback, however ran on well over the final 400m of the event.
DUBLEOOS LAD Rider reported that his mount travelled well until the 300 however when placed under pressure from the 300m failed to respond to his riding. Post race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
LAUDABLE LEMON Hung out for a short distance passing the 400m.
