Supplementary Report EMERALD 25th April, 2015

Stewards inquired into the post-race condition of MY WINDOW SILL. Trainer T Kenny reported that the mare had pulled up well. Stewards also sought information with regard to Mr Kenny's feeding and training programs. In light of the recent performance of MY WINDOW SILL, Stewards ordered that the mare must perform competitively in a barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again.

LATE RIDING CHANGES:

When Jockey S. McGovern failed to arrive on course due to transport difficulties, substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: XXXX Gold QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - MACHO TYCOON 2nd - SAMMY SPARROW 3rd -- HOYWEDGE 4th - WAR NOISE

SAMMY SPARROW - After being placed in the barriers became fractious and broke through, was quickly restrained, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Near the 700 metres became unbalanced and had to be steadied.

DRAGON TOWN - Was slow to begin.

OH YEAH - Raced wide for the majority of the event.

SCARLET JANE - Held up near the 400 metres and unable to obtain clear running until near the 150 metres.

BOOMTOWN BOY - Bled from both nostrils during running. Trainer T. Button was advised that, as this was the first time on which the gelding had bled, it will be barred from racing for 3 months under A.R. 53A, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000 metres in the presence of a steward.

Race 2: Summer Bright with Lime Class 2 Handicap - 1824 metres
1st - PRICELESS HEART 2nd - HIS REDEMPTION 3rd - INSTINCTIVE MOVE 4th - LUCKY ILLUSION

BOLD FLIGHT - When Jockey G. Geran was to be overweight, Jockey Dale Evans was substituted as rider of the gelding. Jockey Geran was reprimanded. In assessing penalty stewards took into account Jockey Geran's good record in regard to weight matters. In the middle stages was restrained and inclined to over-race.

INDY'S BULLION - On jumping bounded in the air and lost ground.

Race 3: Hahn 3.5 BM 70 Handicap - 1300 metres
1st - MAC'S ADDITION 2nd - COURT CLOWN 3rd - POWER TO EXCEED 4th - ROWEINER

GO DIGGER - Dipped on jumping.

POUND ON TUBBY - Near the 900 metres over-raced, shifted to the inside of another runner and had to be checked, then shifted outwards taking POWER TO EXCEED three wide for the remainder of the event.

IT’S A THRILLA- Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.

Race 4: Toohey’s New Class 6 Plate - 1050 metres
1st - SMART PATROL 2nd - THAT'S POPS 3rd - SEQUONIS 4th - PLUM BOB

SMART PATROL After being placed in the barriers broke through, was quickly restrained, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field. Jockey A. Butler was reprimanded under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the gelding two times more than the permissible number.

Race 5: Rockhampton Grammar School Raceday 16 May 2015 Maiden Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - DEE MINISHING 2nd - SAVAGE LAND 3rd -- TARA'S RANSOM 4th - BREATH OF TERA

STORM IN AFRICA - Was slow into stride.

REVENUE RAIDER - Slow into stride.

AMAZZLER - Shifted outwards at the start. When questioned, Jockey S Sheargold confirmed that he had been instructed to take up a position back in the field and close to the running rail.

ROYAL WOLF - Raced wide until near the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the colt's off hind leg had been galloped on.

SAVAGE LAND - A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare's off hind leg had been galloped on.

TARA'S RANSOM - Rolled in near the 700 metres, resulting in SHAKY DUKE being taken in marginally and MISS SATINE having to be steadied.

SIR PILGRIM - Commenced to give ground near the 700 metres, resulting in AMAZZLER having to be restrained. APPLE TREE CREEK, which was following, had to be shifted out.

Race 6: XXXX Bitter BM60 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - GEMINI KING 2nd - PACHAMAMA 3rd -- RICHIE ROCKET 4th - TUNE UP WARRIOR

DYNA ROSE - Slow to begin.

PACHAMAMA - Slow to begin.

COUNT BLEVIC - Raced 3 wide throughout.

GEMINI KING - Held up on heels near the 600 metres and had to be shifted out to improve.

ELDOSHAR - Approaching the 700 metres shifted out and made contact with COUNT BLEVIC.

Race 7: XXXX Gold Winter Racing Carnival 28 May- 20 June Class 1 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - ZAHA EXPRESS 2nd - BEST HURRAH 3rd -- MURAYANNA 4th - CURLEY GREY

Stewards accepted the reasons for Apprentice Q Krogh being dually engaged. Trainer D Johnston was advised to confirm availability of riders prior to declaration.

BOLTS’N’HOLTS- Due to no other available riders, Jockey M Barnham was permitted to rider ½ kg overweight.

TOP GLORY – App. K Aho was permitted to claim 1 ½kg of her 3kg claim due to no other available riders. Began awkwardly. Laid in near the 800 metres caused another runner to be eased.

THREERIVERSHOTEL- Checked shortly after the start, MIGHTY SAVANNAH became unbalanced, and ZAHA EXPRESS shifted out slightly. Eased near the 700 metres.

SANTA FE DREAMING - At the start was tightened for room between runners.

MURAYANNA - Shortly after the start shifted in when placed under pressure to take up a forward position, and as a result another runner was taken in marginally. Jockey A. Butler was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts right to the line.

LALITA- Taken in marginally shortly after the start.

ZAHA EXPRESS - Raced ungenerously and threw its head about for a short distance near the 900 metres.
