SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: 5th June 2015:

Race 5: Advanced Exhausts Rockhampton Cup:

Trainer L. Applewaite explained to stewards that she had remained on course with BARON REES however had moved to a different tie-up stall and the veterinarian had been unable to locate her. The explanation was accepted. Ms Applewaite added BARON REES had pulled up well from its engagement and eaten up overnight. After light exercise, no abnormalities were detected.

Race 1: Ron Finemore Transport Maiden Handicap - 1100 metres
1st HAMILTON 2nd FONDUE 3rd LIGHTNING ARTIST 4th - LET THE TIGER ROAR

FONDUE - Slow to begin. Momentarily held up for clear running leaving the 400 metres.

SAINTSKI - Slow to begin.

MISS SATINE - Began awkwardly. The rider reported that the mare had slipped behind at the start.

DIVA MISS - Raced wide until near the 800 metres.

SOUL SERENADE - When questioned regarding the performance, Jockey Sheargold stated that the mare began fairly and he was of the opinion that his mount did not have the speed to press forward and therefore elected to obtain a position worse than midfield. He added that the mare travelled well however when placed under pressure near the 400 metres failed to respond to his riding.

Race 2: BP South Rockhampton Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st MURAYANNA 2nd MACGYVER 3rd DE MESTRE 4th - POSITIVE OUTLOOK

SUPERIOR DRAGON - Trainer N. Mccall advised stewards that the gelding had a suspected stone bruise to the off foreleg. SUPERIOR DRAGON was a late scratching at 1.06 p.m.

CAUGHT ELOPING - On being loaded into the barriers lunged forward. The gelding was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.

FERRIGNO - Had a tendency to get its head down in the barriers, was removed from the barriers and examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and, acting on her advice that there was blood present in the horse's mouth, stewards ordered its scratching at 2.06 p.m. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on FERRIGNO be refunded in full and that the following deductions apply:

8¢ in the dollar for the win, for the winner MURAYANNA
10¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, MURAYANNA
7¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, MACGYVER

LOOKSLIKERAIN - Began awkwardly.

POSITIVE OUTLOOK - At the start shifted out onto DE MESTRE, which was taken out onto MACGYVER.

CAUGHT ELOPING - Raced wide for the majority of the event. Trainer T. McMahon informed stewards that the gelding will now be retired from racing.

Race 3: Scottish Pacific Debtor Finance Class 6 Plate - 1200 metres
1st IMBOSTERIA 2nd GO DIGGER 3rd DAME JUDARIUS 4th - SPRING ROSE

MT ZIGGARO - Began awkwardly. Made contact with another runner at the start. Raced ungenerously in the early stages, near the 800 metres was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of DAME JUDARIUS.

DAME JUDARIUS - Dipped its head as the start was effected and as a result was slow to begin.

Race 4: CQ Crane Hire Fillies and Mares Class 1 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st SAMARAH GIRL 2nd JUST ONE WISH 3rd MAMSELLE CORDAY 4th - STARLET GIRL

DORSAL FIN - A little slow to begin, shifted out and made contact with JEWEL BANGLES, which had knuckled, shifted out and made heavy contact with TENNESSEE WOMAN.

MAMSELLE CORDAY - Raced ungenerously in the middle stages.

FANTASTIC EIGHT - Raced wide throughout.

PRETTY KITTY: Stewards inquired into an incident near the 900 metres. App. N. Vuille was reprimanded for shifting in when insufficiently clear and causing DORSAL FIN to be steadied and shift out across heels.

Race 5: DLV Finance/SMW Group Tattersall’s Gold Cup Open Handicap - 1600 metres
1st VICTORY HOTEL 2nd CASTLE EXPRESS 3rd POWER RANGER 4th - CASINO BENJO

NEVZLIN - As Jockey S. Sheargold was to be overweight, App. P. Romeo was substituted. Jockey Sheargold was fined $100 under A.R.120 (b). Raced 3 wide throughout. Following his replacement, Jockey Sheargold reported soreness in his right lower leg and was stood down from his further engagements. Jockey Sheargold was advised that he must obtain a medical clearance prior to being permitted to ride again.

MOTORISED - Late scratching, at 11.25 a.m., by order of the stewards acting on advice that the gelding had injured itself in the stable.

HATZIS - Slow to begin.

VANDALISED - A little slow to begin. When questioned regarding the run, given the horse’s progression to the Rockhampton Cup, Jockey A. Butler said that his mount was a little flat-footed at the start and in his opinion he should have pressured the gelding to take up a more forward position and raced midfield. He said that from the home turn the gelding ran on well under the heavy impost of 61kg.

CLEANSING ALE - Was restrained from the heels of CASINO BENJO near the 1200 metres then commenced to over-race for a short distance. Checked near the 200 metres.

Stewards inquired into an incident that occurred near the 200 metres. It was established that HATZIS, CLEANSING ALE and BILLY DA BOSS raced tight and at that stage CASINO BENJO shifted out gradually and made contact with HATZIS, which made contact with CLEANSING ALE, which was not holding its position between HATZIS and BILLY THE BOSS, made contact with the hindquarters of BILLY DA BOSS further tightened and had to be checked.

Race 6: Ulton QTIS 3YO Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - WALK TO THE BAR 2nd - EKKAREEZA 3rd - MACHO TYCOON 4th - LARABEE

HAY CAL - When Jockey Sheargold was stood down from his engagement, Jockey A. Lawrence was substituted as rider of the gelding. When the gelding was presented in the enclosure the farrier was unable to replace the hind plate. In the circumstances both hind plates were removed and the gelding raced bare behind. Trainer R. Woods was fined $200 under AR 175(k) in that he presented the gelding to race with plates in an unacceptable condition. Made heavy contact with another runner at the start.

TARA'S RANSOM - Made heavy contact with another runner at the start.

STYLISH LUCK - Began awkwardly when placed between ONEMORENOBLEDANCER and MACHO TYCOON. Shortly after the start, another runner made contact with the gelding, which was then taken inwards and had to be eased from heels.

WALK TO THE BAR - Was a little slow to begin. Shortly after the start shifted in and made contact with STYLISH LUCK.

MACHO TYCOON - Raced wide throughout.
