Race 1: Patlaw Securities Pty Ltd BenchMark 70 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - SUPREME JET  2nd - MISS ANNA  3rd - HEARTBREAK HARRY  4th -  COVERT CHARMOUR
 
JUST CALL ME LOUIE - Slow to begin. Near the 900 metres SUPREME JET laid in momentarily. JUST CALL ME LOUIE, which was following, clipped heels and blundered and almost dislodged its rider which caused the saddle to slip. This resulted in Jockey Stewart losing use of his irons and tailed the field thereafter
 
MISS ANNA - Slow to begin. Near the 900 metres was eased from the heels of JUST CALL ME LOUIE.
 
SUPREME JET - A post-race veterinary examination of SUPREME JET revealed that the gelding had been galloped on, on the off hind hock.

Race 2: Coolwaters Holiday Village Class 6 Plate - 1400 metres  
1st - COURTZIG  2nd - THE THOMAS AFFAIR  3rd - LEGAL PROCEDURE  4th -  GREEN EMPIRE

DELIVERY - Slow to begin.
 
MURPHY'S COAL DUST - Slow to begin.
 
GREEN EMPIRE - Was slow to begin when the outside barrier partition swung back. When the pace steadied near the 900 metres was eased from MURPHY'S COAL DUST.
 
BIRDIE BLITZ - Apprentice B. Grylls was reprimanded under A.R. 137A for using her whip on the gelding on 2 more occasions than permitted under the rules. Stewards took into account Apprentice Grylls' good record in relation to the rule.
 
Race 3: Merry Christmas from the RJC Maiden Handicap - 1050 metres  
1st - CELTIC SPELL  2nd - FRAAR JESTER   3rd - UNO KATY  4th -  BONINO

BONINO - Hung out in the middle stages.
 
UNO KATY - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
SIEGE OF ENNIS - Raced wide with cover.
 
ABE'S BABY - Raced 4 wide without cover throughout.
 
ROUGISSANTE- At approximately the 200 metres, when RACEY CHICK lay out under pressure, was buffeted between runners.
 
Stewards inquired into the tactics adopted and the performance of FRAAR JESTER. Jockey A. Coome stated that he had no specific instructions, however had anticipated being able to occupy a handy position. He said that when runners to his inside were pressured to take up a forward position, rather than be caught wide he restrained his mount to take up a position at the rear of the field. Jockey Coome added that he maintained an inside run in the straight and the filly found the line well. Trainer Mr T. Cook confirmed the instructions and said that he was satisfied with the ride. He said further that he would intend to start the filly at Rockhampton on 31st December. The explanations were noted. A review of lay bets on the horse was reviewed with no anomalies observed.
 
Race 4: New Year’s Eve Races - 31 Dec BenchMark 55 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st - FUTUREAL  2nd - BLOODED  3rd - SHROUDED  4th -  DRAGON FIRE
 
BULLETIN BELLE - The start was delayed when the tongue-tie on the mare had to be replaced.
 
CAPTAIN ADRIATIC - At the start was tightened for room when runners either side shifted ground.
 
DRAGON FIRE - Near the 900 metres hung out and lost some ground.
 
Near the 600 metres SHROUDED (Jockey N. Day) attempted to improve to the inside of HOWZAT FOR LUCK (Jockey B. Stewart), which had rolled out and, when shifting back it, caused SHROUDED to be steadied and brush the running rail. Jockey Stewart was advised to exercise more care. SHROUDED lost its near fore plate in running.
 
Race 5: 150 Club Racing Gala Ball- Sat 11 March QTIS 3YO BenchMark 60 Handicap - 1050 metres   
1st - SECURITY BELLE  2nd - RUSTY SCOOTER  3rd - CRAIGLEA GHETTO  4th -  CHEEKY RED
 
CHEEKY RED - Began awkwardly.
 
RUSTY SCOOTER - Began awkwardly and made contact with PARTY PARDEE.
 
DIPPED IN GOLD – Slow into stride.
 
CRAIGLEA GHETTO - Held up in the early part of the straight and had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 200 metres.
 
ISIS AMBER - From the 150 metres laid out and made contact with CRAIGLEA GHETTO then laid in over the concluding stages.
 
Race 6: Become a 150 Club Member! Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st -  DOUBLE DRAMA   2nd -  NORUDDER NOCOMPASS  3rd -  CHICA PEEPS 4th -  MIM'S POET
 
AMADEUS LAD - Apprentice L. Tilley was unable to claim his full allowance. At the request of the trainer, stewards permitted App. Tilley to ride the horse without claiming.  App. Tilley was fined $200 under A.R. 92.
 
TAKINGS - Slow to begin.
 
QUIET REFLECTION - Reared on jumping. Jockey M. Hellyer reported that his mount over-raced for the majority of the event.
 
MIM'S POET - Began awkwardly.
 
VICIOUS CHICK - Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
GAMBIT -  Raced wide with cover.
 
NORUDDER NOCOMPASS - Jockey B. Stewart was fined $300 under A.R. 137A for using his whip on the gelding 5 times more than permitted under the rule.
 
Race 7: Simplicity Market Fresh Flowers Class 3 Plate - 1500 metres
1st -  THAT'S WOODY  2nd -  KING MAX  3rd -  JEKOTA  4th -  OUTBACK PIRATE
 
ITTY GITTY - Slow to begin.
 
ZIGGLER - Slow to begin and was further hampered when DANE SLUGGER jumped inwards. Near the 1200 metres was steadied from the heels of JEKOTA.
 
KING MAX - Began awkwardly and raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HULK HENRY- Began awkwardly and threw its head in the air.
 
THAT'S WOODY - When questioned regarding the gelding leading today, trainer R. Vale stated that the horse's usual racing pattern was to be handy and given the distance and the wide barrier draw the horse was able to take up a leading position. In relation to its performance, he added that THAT'S WOODY was not suited by the tight track at its previous start and also appreciated the step up in distance.
