RACE 1: WILLIAMS HALL CHADWICK MAIDEN PLATE – 1000M
1ST –  BROWN CAVIAR    2ND – ECHOING 3RD – KAPACHINO MISS  4TH – ROCK ON SKYE
 
DENMAN DUDE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
THING OF BEAUTY – Laid out for a short distance leaving the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance, which was below market expectations, jockey L. Tilley agreed the performance was disappointing but could offer no explanation other than the filly was having her first run following a spell, and in his opinion would derive a fitness benefit from this event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
CRUNCH TIME – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROCK ON SKYE – Raced wide throughout.
 
FUZZY MELON – Raced wide throughout.
 
ECHOING – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
CELESTIAL SON - Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
RACE 2: STATHAM CHEESEMAN BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1000M
1ST –  HAMILTON 2ND – TRUE JOY 3RD – ISSY COMMAND 4TH – KING COBIA
 
KING COBIA – Began awkwardly, unbalancing App. E. Smith and placing her at a disadvantage for a short distance.
 
PLATTERS – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start.
 
TRUE JOY – Raced wide throughout.
 
MARAUDING’S GIRL – Weakened over the concluding stages. When questioned, jockey S. Apthorpe stated that while he had to work hard in the early stages to maintain his position on the rail, he expected the mare to finish off the race more strongly than she did. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
 
RACE 3: MORGANS FINANCIAL/BENTLEYS RATING 0-45 H’CAP – 1000M
1ST – AND JUBILATIONS 2ND –  SEACITY 3RD – THAT’S THE PLAN 4TH – LUCKY MISS
 
HIDDEN CHIEF – After being fractious in the barriers, began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout.
 
FLAMBOYANT MISS – Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance, jockey J. Rudd advised the mare did not travel at any stage of the event and did not respond to his riding. Trainer C. Rogers advised the mare would now be retired. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
LUCKY MISS – Bumped with another runner near the 800m.
 
GIRLS SAY - Bumped with another runner near the 800m.
 
CRAIG AND PEDRO – Raced wide throughout.
 
DREAM OF CHOICE – When questioned regarding the performance, which was below market expectations, Apprentice H. English advised that, in her opinion, the mare performs better when able to obtain a leading position, and with a shorter time between runs.
 
 
RACE 4: CARLTON MID OPEN H’CAP – 1200M
1ST – NUDE SECRETS 2ND – TISANI TOMSO 3RD – FAB’S COWBOY 4TH – LEAVESDEN
 
BARCELONA BOUND – Slow to begin.
 
FAB’S COWBOY – Bounded at the start.
 
TISANI TOMSO – Bumped shortly after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Apprentice N. Keal was reprimanded for failing to make sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in over the concluding stages.
 
KING LUDWIG – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped another runner.
 
NOOR DROPPER – Bumped at the start. Jockey M. O’Brien reported at scale that the mare, which was stepping up in distance from its previous start, worked too hard in the early stages and failed to finish off strongly. Tightened for room and had to be steadied after passing the winning post.
 
NUDE SECRETS – Apprentice J. Brand was fined $100 for a celebratory gesture prior to passing the winning post.
 
 
RACE 5: TOPX ROMA BENCHMARK 55 H’CAP – 1200M
1ST – PSYCHO SAID SO 2ND – NEWCASTLE DANCER 3RD – PRINCE OF PEACE 4TH – SUIT
 
MONTE VICTORY – Examined by the veterinary surgeon behind the barriers at the request of the jockey. Found to be lame in the off fore and declared a late scratching by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice at 4.38pm. All monies invested on MONTE VICTORY were ordered to be refunded, with the following deductions applicable:
 
0 cents in the dollar for the winner #5
2 cents in the dollar for the place of winner #5
3 cents in the dollar for second place #6
4 cents in the dollar for third place #11
 
Starting prices are subject to deductions.
 
Trainer C. Rogers was advised she will need to provide a veterinary clearance for MONTE VICTORY prior to the gelding racing again.
 
CONNOR – Began awkwardly, then raced ungenerously and threw its head in the air for a short distance after the start and lost ground.
 
SARGOOD LANE – Raced wide throughout.
